Many people who have a criminal record or who were charged for a criminal offence are concerned about the implications of traveling to the US.
The Americans can turn you away at the US border and deny you entry to the US due to your criminal record. They commonly do criminal checks at the border and we receive hundreds of requests each month from people who have been denied entry to the US due to their criminal charge, no matter how old the criminal record was and how seemingly insignificant it seems.
Once you are denied entry to the US, you will need a US Entry Waiver to return to the US. A US Entry Waiver (I-192) is a complicated and expensive process and you will need it for the rest of your life.
Once a Record Suspension is granted, then the Americans will not see your criminal record and you will be safe to travel so long as you have never been stopped in the past.
