There are many people who are having trouble getting work because of an old criminal record. Removing a criminal record for employment is a must. People can get very depressed that they are unable to get work due to their criminal record. Often they are not aware that a Canada record suspension will clear their criminal charges so that they can get a job as a criminal background check will no longer show up positive.
Here is a letter we recently received from a client we helped to get a Canada Record Suspension for a petty theft conviction:
“I was so happy to get the paper today showing that my Record Suspension has been granted. It was a great relief because I am in the process of applying for a course at the local college and I would not have been eligible for this course had I not obtained the Record Suspension.”
“A couple of years ago, I applied to Canada Post for a letter carrier position. I took the testing and did well but as soon as it was known that I had a criminal record I was told that I was not eligible for the position and to not even bother coming back to apply again until I had a Pardon or Record Suspension.”
“Having a criminal record has definitely hindered me in my job searching over the years, not to mention the damage it did to my self-esteem. It was really depressing to actually be considered for a job and have my foot in the door, only to be denied because of my past.”
“Now the indescretions of my past are simply that, in my past, and they can no longer hold me back from obtaining the education and career that I want and need.”
